Job Overview: An advanced Seismic Acquisition Solutions Company providing leading products and services for the oil exploration and production industry are rapidly expanding their land acquisitions services in North Africa and urgently seek a Vibroseis Technician.

In addition, they offer oil companies and seismic acquisition contractors a comprehensive range of geophysical services delivered by expert personnel and backed up by an extensive library of software tools and sophisticated web based delivery mechanisms for the Land and Marine business.
This role is to cover North Africa, Algeria, Libya & Egypt in particular, and therefore, it would be advantageous to be located in North Africa or Dubai but the Company can be flexible.
Supporting land acquisition services, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the Vibroseis
trucks and equipment are in a ready state for usage. The role is varied, as you will be expected to
commission new Vibroseis when they arrive at a client site, troubleshoot issues with vibes which
can range from control electronics issues to hydraulics problems, and to service older vibes. You will
liaise with the client and crewmembers, ensuring all systems are operable, queries are resolved or
reported and that overall a high level of satisfaction is maintained. The Company will make all
arrangements from and to your base location and the Field Crew.
Responsibilities: This role encompasses many functions including:
* Commission new Vibroseis when they arrive at a client site, ensuring they are operable.
* Troubleshoot issues with vibes such as control electronics issues to hydraulics problems.
* Repair and maintain older Vibroseis
* Ensure all queries are resolved or reported.
* Quality Focus – ensure applicable standards concerning the work and are met and that exceptions
are reported appropriately.
* Planning ahead to maximise source team efficiency.
* Maintain strong client liaison and service delivery.
The position will inevitably involve some international travel, mostly for short project-based assignments.

Preferences:The successful candidate will have:
* Degree or HND in an engineering subject. Hydraulics engineering qualification desirable.
* A minimum of 3 years experience working with or troubleshooting either Vibroseis equipment or
Hydraulic equipment essential.
* Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills essential.
* Previous experience in land seismic acquisition highly advantageous
* Must be adaptable, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
* Excellent communication skills as you will liaise with numerous personnel.
* French and/or Arabic language would be a distinct advantage.
* Good client facing/liaison skills, as you will be dealing with clients on a regular basis.
* Team player but also self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised, with a hands on attitude.
* Must be able to work for periods away from home and in field environment.
* Willingness to learn, flexibility and desire to undertake the role and succeed.
* Confident to travel and work in remote locations.
