Job Description:
A position exists for a suitably qualified, experienced and highly professional Consultant that possess the comprehensive skills set and experience listed below.
This position is for a specific project requirement of two new Onshore Wells and candidate will be required to remain in country for duration – estimated at 60 to 80 days.
Only candidates that are Available to mobilize Immediately are required to respond as successful applicant needs to be in country within 10-12 days from date of this advert placement.
Minimum Education & Experience:
* Minimum Bachelors, Masters degree preferred in Engineering
* 15-20 Years working experience in oilfield with specific experience in Drilling of not less than 10 years.
* Extensive overseas experience having worked in at least 5 different locations and any prior experience in West Africa would be highly beneficial.
Key responsibilities and functions to be performed are:
* To develop well design and layout, optimizing the investments and applying the highest Standards of engineering integrity, safety and environmental protection.
* To draft drilling plan and support its execution providing engineering advice, and Updating, when necessary, well design and execution plans.
* Planning, directing and coordinating of engineering efforts in drilling operations.
* Overall technical integrity of well design and execution plan.
* Cost effectiveness of well design and drilling programme.
* Planning and engineering drilling operation in order to achieve technical objectives in safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
* Preparing drilling programmes.
* Preparing estimated cost in some aspects of drilling programme.
* To produce End of Well Report, collecting all the significant information about drilling activities, Materials and technologies applied, contractor performances and possibly difficulties ensued, in order to make these experiences available for the future.
* Making recommendations when drilling problem occurs.
* Tracking and benchmarking drilling performances and costs.
* Prepare remedial maintenance and stimulation workovers (acid work, sand control, well repair, etc.)
* Review and understand existing well designs, problems and drivers .
