Exploration and Oil & Gas Development – Qatar

Production Geologists (HH446011)

QP is looking for Production Geologists extensive experience, who will utilize geophysical, petrophysical and sedimentological studies in order to create, establish and update geological models, to aid in the development of reservoir models. You will have worked in either a production or exploration environment, and have an in-depth knowledge of seismic stratigraphy.

Senior Exploration Geologists (HH446010)

QP is also looking for Senior Exploration Geologists with extensive experience in exploration and appraisal geology. They must have well-site geological experience and a broad knowledge of geophysics and seismic operation. They will participate in formulation of drilling prospects to produce well prognosis and drilling programs, and carry out exploration and appraisal studies over QP’s retained areas with a view to making them more attractive for farming out, depending on prevailing Government policies. The successful candidate will have extensive hydrocarbon exploration and appraisal experience.

Production Geophysicists (HH446017)

As a Production Geophysicist with extensive experience, utilizing large datasets and complex geological and geophysical scenarios, you will analyze, interpret and integrate geophysical data to establish and update geologic frameworks and models for Qatar Petroleum’s oilfields. You will also undertake challenging interpretation studies of the producing geology in order to evaluate proposed well locations and optimization of field development plans. You will have experience in the integration of geological, geophysical and well log data, within mature producing carbonate and clastic reservoir scenarios, as well as a good understanding of risk analysis for proposed well locations.

All disciplines will have the opportunity to work with diverse teams to develop these studies, giving you the opportunity to experience inter-disciplinary reservoir study teams. Minimum academic requirement is a BSc in an appropriate Geoscience subject with a solid understanding of Schlumberger’s and other petrophysical, geological, and geophysical applications.
