Position: Driller
Group: Operations

Immediate Supervisor: OIM
Reviewing Supervisor: OIM
Position Purpose: Supervisor of the drilling crew, which is responsible for all drilling and related activities
Principal Accountabilities:
* Safely and efficiently carry out the customer’s drilling, workover or completion program.
* Directly responsible for the supervision of the drilling crew during drilling and related operations.
* Directly responsible to conduct pre job safety meetings prior to and during tour and as otherwise required to insure that safe working conditions are maintained at all times.
* Complete and submit daily drilling reports to the OIM.
* Insure adherence with prescribed safety procedures associated with rig activities and conduct regular crew safety meetings.
* Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with operating procedures.
* Responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of all drilling and related equipment and accessories.
* Train and develop subordinate personnel through continuous on the job training and MMS T 1 training.
* Assist the OIM in recruiting qualified personnel.
* Responsible for correcting and/or reporting any unsafe condition or act and immediately reporting all accidents and incidents to the OIM.
* Perform additional duties as directed by the OIM or Toolpusher.
Prerequsites:
* Be a fully qualified derrickman.
* Be knowledgeable of operating limitations of all drilling equipment.
* Be familiar with Scorpion Offshore Operations Bulletin Manual.
* Have appropriate performance review.
* Be knowledgeable of Scorpion Offshore procedures for care and handling of tubulars and related equipment.
* Must be a high school graduate or have equivalent GED.
